Not investment advice
Fin-bot is a personal research and education project. Nothing on this site, in its emails, Discord or WhatsApp messages, or in its MCP endpoint is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Fin-bot and its author are not registered investment advisers, broker-dealers or financial planners. Do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making investment decisions.
Hypothetical and backtested performance
Results shown are hypothetical. They were produced by applying rules and models to historical data, not by trading real money. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, do not reflect the impact of real-world liquidity, slippage, taxes or emotional decision-making, and can be affected by choices made after seeing how markets moved. No representation is made that any strategy will achieve results similar to those shown. Past performance, actual or hypothetical, does not guarantee future results.
Risk of loss
Investing in securities, including ETFs, involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Strategies that look strong in a backtest can and often do lose money in live markets. Leverage, concentration and frequent trading increase risk.
Projections
Strategy projections replay each strategy's own backtested daily returns in random blocks to show a range of possible outcomes. They assume the future resembles the past, ignore changes in markets, costs and taxes, and are not forecasts, price targets or promises. Real results can fall outside every range shown.
Stock pages
Stock pages show market data for information only. Listing or charting a security is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold it. Fin-bot's strategies trade ETFs only.
Live and intraday figures
Intraday rankings mark each strategy's latest target holdings to market using a free real-time feed that covers part of US trading volume. They are paper calculations for monitoring, not executed trades, and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong.
Data sources and accuracy
Backtests are computed from Yahoo Finance prices via the open-source yfinance library (only derived results are shown). Live prices and stock charts come from Alpaca's free plan (IEX real-time trades and consolidated history), and crypto sentiment from alternative.me. These sources can contain errors or gaps and are provided without warranty. “Fin-bot Fear & Greed” is computed independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CNN.
Machine learning and AI models
Model outputs, including those from third-party open-source and foundation models, are statistical estimates that can be wrong. A model's historical hit rate does not mean it will be right in the future.
Brokerage connections
Fin-bot is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or any broker. The site never asks for, stores or transmits brokerage credentials. Any brokerage connection runs only on the account owner's own computer through the broker's official tools, and every order requires the owner's explicit approval.
Accounts and privacy
Creating an account stores your email address and the preferences you save, such as followed strategies, with our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not sell personal data. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its content.
